The MEI Art Gallery at the Middle East Institute is hosting an exhibition of works from 14 leading contemporary Syrian artists on view from March 8, 2021-July 16, 2021. In this Moonless Black Night: Syrian Art after the Uprising marks the ten-year anniversary of the Syrian revolution by presenting artists whose work explores the hope and trauma of the past decade through the experiences of ordinary Syrians. Featured artists include: Azza Abo Rebieh, Hiba Al Ansari, Tammam Azzam, Khaled Barakeh, Mohamad Hafez, Nagham Hodaifa, and Kevork Mourad.
