While the health and safety of our guests has always been a top priority, when you return to Embassy Row Hotel you will find that we've made a number of enhancements to our cleaning protocols for guest rooms, common areas and high-touch surfaces and implemented social distancing procedures to ensure your stay is comfortable and safe.

  • Is The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington DC open?
    Yes, we are open and look forward to hosting you soon.
  • Did anything change with Checking in & out? {Hotel to select, modify or add appropriate options for their property} (Maybe change question to read something like “What can I expect during arrival and departure?
    • Floor reminders to allow space when queuing
    • Signage throughout the lobby reminding all guests to adhere to physical distancing requirements.
    • Front desks will have temporary physical barriers such as Plexiglas installed for added protection
    • Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available in the lobby, fitness center and on all guest floors
    • During check-in, guests are asked to complete a health screening survey required by the District of Columbia.
    • Contactless delivery and check out available via text message and the Bonvoy app.
  • What is the The Ven at Embassy Row’s current cancellation policy?
    We remain committed to offering you flexible booking and cancellation options. Given these unique circumstances we are making adjustments to booking policies:
    • Government Restriction Regions. In regions affected by government-issued travel restrictions, we will continue to waive change fees or offer full cancellation with refunds.
    • As a member of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio and in accordance with Marriott’s more flexible cancellation policies, please see Marriott’s Commitment to Clean for more details.
  • Have your public spaces, such as your lobby, changed?
    We have increased our staffing of public area attendants to support increased frequency of cleaning surfaces, with EPA approved cleaning agents. We have modified the placement of furniture to support our Social Distancing protocols and we ask all guests to leave a minimum of 6 feet of distance between one another for their protection and the protection of others. Hand Sanitizer stations are available throughout the property.
  • What is The Ven at Embassy Row doing to assist guests with staying clean and safe?
    We have taken the following steps to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene:
    • Our hotel teams are receiving ongoing briefings and reviewing enhanced operating procedures as guidance from government agencies is updated.
    • We have increased the frequency of cleaning of all public areas (including the lobby, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.)
    • We have increased the deployment of antibacterial hand sanitizers in all public areas.
    • Integration of text messaging engagement platforms are available for contactless requests and inquiries.
  • What has The Ven at Embassy Row changed in regards to guest room housekeeping?
    • In-room housekeeping service will be provided for multiple night stays by appointment only. Team members cannot enter guest rooms while the guest is present for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.
    • Additional linens, towels and toiletries are available by contact free delivery by contacting the Front Desk.
    • Rigorous cleaning and sanitizing protocols will be used to clean guest rooms.
    • Guest rooms will sit unoccupied for a minimum of 72 hours before being serviced or resold.
    • Decluttering of guestroom and removal of reusable items from guest rooms including, but not limited to coffee service, minibar offerings, collateral, pen, paper, and directories.
  • Is The Ven at Embassy Row’s fitness center open?
    Yes, the fitness center is currently open and Social Distancing is required. The number of guests who may use the Fitness Center is limited to three and six feet between guests must be maintained at all times.
  • What are my dining options at The Ven at Embassy Row?
    The lobby coffee shop is open from 6AM-12PM and is serving specialty coffee, rich and authentic Chinese tea, a variety of warm breakfast sandwiches and quick and easy pre-packaged grab and go items.

    In the evenings, grab a glass of wine or a classic cocktail in the lobby lounge. Serving locals and guests alike from 5PM-11PM, the lobby lounge offers plenty of space to stay distant, while offering snacks and light bites to feel as comfortable as home.

    Our lobby lounge seating has been redesigned to incorporate plenty of space for social distancing protocols. We’ve increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, added the use of face coverings by our staff and new menu presentation protocols.
  • Are there Grab & Go Food and Drinks available at The Ven at Embassy Row?
    Snacks and beverages are available 24/7 in the Lobby Market, just across from the front desk
  • Does The Ven offer dry cleaning and laundry services?
    Yes, we do have valet laundry & dry-cleaning service available 6 days a week for our guests (none available on Sunday).
  • Do your guest rooms have mini refrigerators?
    Yes, we have mini-fridges available upon request for a fee.
